In a space where concrete and steel once promised protection, an exhibition unfolds that tells of the fragility and resilience of the body and soul. The sculptures bear their wounds and display them – fractures, cracks, bruises.
The bunker itself becomes part of this choreography. The history, but also the massive structure itself, intensify the experience of vulnerability. Visitors move through zones where forms of injury and change are addressed, before fields of light open up where healing can be experienced.
“Hurting Sculptures” invites us not to hide injury, but to understand it as part of an ongoing transformation. Every scar is a map of survival – every sculpture a body that tells of the burden of the past and the power of renewal.
