February 25 is no ordinary concert evening at the Musikbar im Bunker. It is also an exam. Three students from the Institute of Music and Media at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf will be taking their final instrumental/vocal exams as part of this concert and would like to share this special evening with a live audience.
From indie rock to pop to jazz, Anna Hummen, Vivian Le Van (Angelic In Jeans), and Anna Zilinski (Zilinski) will showcase their musical diversity.
ZILINSKI
Sometimes dark, sometimes cynical, sometimes danceable, always honest and raw. The band Zilinski captivates with contrasts as well as with its visual world, which is marked by the black and white of the checkerboard pattern. Spherical soundscapes, expansive vocal arrangements, and rocking guitars, united in contrast in the five-piece band: Zilinski.
Line-up:
Anna Zilinski (vocals, guitar)
Tommy Marquenie (guitar)
Julian Böckeler (drums)
Lea Kleefisch (bass)
Martin Radwan (keys, backing vocals)
Tina van Bebber (backing vocals)
ANGELIC IN JEANS
Pastel-colored guitars with silver star stickers: Angelic In Jeans is an indie rock band from Düsseldorf. Four friends who are realizing their shared dream of being modern rock stars. With soothing distorted guitar melodies and driving drums, Angelic In Jeans sing about the horrors of modern life that they face in their twenties.
Line-up:
Meryem Saral (vocals, guitar)
Vivian Le Van (guitar)
Alina Göring (bass)
Paul Bürger (drums)
ANNA HUMMEN
In her music, Anna Hummen fights the demons that plague us all—using her voice as a protective shield. Her singing is delicate, her words healing. The sound is sometimes patiently searching, sometimes confidently driving. Anna invites the audience to let down their facades by showing herself.
Line-up:
Anna Hummen (vocals)
María Camila Agudelo (guitar)
Nora Bögel (keys)
Jonah Budde (bass)
Fidel Winter (drums)
